About the Role
The Senior Product Operations Manager at HID Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) supports the day-to-day execution of HID's PACS Product Management organization. This role combines hands-on responsibility for product setup and changes in enterprise resource planning systems with coordination of cross-portfolio meetings, roadmap communications, and business review preparation. The role maintains reliable product data and improves the processes and systems that support the PACS portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and validate product, pricing, and item records in Oracle Product Development (PD) and Product Data Hub (PDH) & other downstream systems, implementing approved product setup, change, and lifecycle requests accurately with clear documentation.
- Guide product managers on product structures, attributes, configuration options, and setup rules; document consistent product data standards with IT and relevant business owners.
- Represent PACS Product Management in business systems improvements, defining product data requirements, validating data structures and mappings, and coordinating business testing and acceptance with IT and business stakeholders.
- Resolve product data and setup issues with IT, Operations, and commercial teams, addressing root causes that affect product availability, ordering, or fulfillment.
- Coordinate key cross-portfolio product management leadership team activities, including scheduling, agendas, preparation materials, and participant readiness; document decisions, owners, and actions, and drive follow-through.
- Consolidate roadmap inputs from product managers into consistent, current materials for distribution to regional Product Marketing and Sales teams; coordinate content owner review and approval, maintain version control, and manage distribution.
- Coordinate the product organization's content preparation for global sales meetings, establishing deliverables, owners, and deadlines, arranging preparation sessions, and tracking content reviews and readiness.
- Organize preparation for strategic portfolio reviews, including submission schedules, templates, supporting materials, and preparation meetings, so portfolio leaders are ready for the review.
- Capture existing product systems knowledge and turn it into maintained procedures, setting up guidance and training that enable continuity and reduce reliance on individual expertise.
- Build and improve repeatable workflows for product requests, change approvals, and systems readiness for launches and lifecycle transitions, in partnership with responsible teams.
- Maintain shared planning calendars, presentation templates, approved roadmap materials, and reference information that reduce preparation effort and support consistent communication across PACS.
- Agree on priorities with the VP and track deadlines, actioning owners and dependencies across business system work and leadership commitments; follow up with stakeholders and escalate gaps or blockers.
- Partner with IT on product systems requirements and improvements, with technical platform administration and delivery led by the accountable IT teams.
- Use practical measures of product data quality, change turnaround, preparation readiness, and action completion to improve recurring processes and reduce manual work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Substantial relevant experience in product operations, product management, business systems, or operational program management, including ownership of complex cross-functional work.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining product or item master data in an ERP system, including product structures, setup rules, data validation, and controlled changes.
- Experience translating product and business requirements into documented data and process requirements, including business testing, validation, and acceptance of enterprise systems improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, business reviews, or major events, managing preparation timelines and securing inputs from stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
- Strong practical skills with spreadsheets, presentation software, and collaboration tools, including consolidating inputs, checking data accuracy, and producing clear materials for leadership and sales audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn product and technical inputs into clear presentations and concise updates; sound judgment and discretion with sensitive business information.
- Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to balance accurate hands-on systems work, recurring coordination tasks, and competing deadlines across a global organization.
- Experience with B2B hardware, credentials, software, or connected product portfolios in physical security, identity, industrial technology, or a related sector is preferred.
- Experience supporting product leaders through recurring planning, communications, and business review activities is preferred.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and the flow of product data between ERP, PLM, ordering, and reporting tools is preferred.
- Experience coordinating roadmap communications, sales meeting content, or strategic portfolio review preparation across regional or global organizations is preferred.
- Experience improving workflows through standardization, reporting tools, or automation is preferred.
