About the Role
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all pharmacy operations and must be a licensed staff pharmacist. The mission of all Tops associates is to provide a friendly neighborhood store that saves customers time and money.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitation
- Perform all staff Pharmacist responsibilities
- Ensure proper rotation of medications monthly, following procedures for discarded and recalled medications
- Enforce customer privacy policies while keeping customer information up to date and accurate
- Achieve financial goals including sales, gross profit maximization, and minimization of shrink and supply expense
- Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptions
- Select, train, develop, and schedule all pharmacy associates
- Communicate regularly with pharmacy associates to keep them updated with relevant information
- Complete all necessary paperwork and billing relating to the Pharmacy Department
- Maintain security of all controlled substances
- Maintain adequate supplies and place orders when needed
- Process orders, including filling prescriptions and accepting payment
- Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- State Licensed Pharmacist
Skills
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
Education Level
- State Licensed Pharmacist
Salary/Compensations
- Starting at: Level / hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.
