About the Role
Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all customers. Responsible for the nighttime operation of the store in the absence of the Night Manager, overseeing clerks and ensuring shelves are stocked and leveled properly to promote optimal sales. Manages ordering and receiving of warehouse or DSD product, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation.
- Oversee the entire Third Shift store operation two to three nights a week.
- Ensure proper shelf conditions, stock levels, product leveling and blocking, and 'out of stock' signage.
- Assist in scheduling Night Crew Associates.
- Manage Front End and Office operations, including check approvals and nightly resets.
- Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies for the Grocery department, meeting transmission times.
- Store excess product in the Back Room or designated area.
- Ensure proper merchandising standards are maintained.
- Maintain excess product in the back room area according to corporate guidelines.
- Assist with hiring, training, and development of new Night Crew Associates in Grocery operations.
- Handle discipline or recommend discipline for Night Crew Associates according to company policy.
- Oversee refrigeration and security procedures during Third Shift, and all weekly and nightly resets.
- Unload Warehouse and DSD merchandise deliveries.
- Evaluate the performance and progress of Store Associates.
- Ensure productivity measures of the 3rd shift grocery crew meet standards and all tasks are accomplished.
- Implement and maintain corporate and state sanitation and pricing procedures.
- Ensure the protection of company inventory and assets.
- Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
