About the Role
CIBC is seeking talented, passionate professionals dedicated to doing what’s right for clients. This role is on the Enterprise Technology team, focusing on systems testing and ensuring client needs are met with the highest quality. The Data Test Coordinator will lead testing efforts, assign and oversee test case execution, and provide coaching. Responsibilities include creating test plans, developing strategies, providing estimates, troubleshooting, and maintaining test system configurations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and translation of business requirements into test cases.
- Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects.
- Use expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products.
- Provide advice to the team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship.
- Proactively identify potential issues throughout all test phases and suggest improvements.
- Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success.
- Provide regular status updates to the business.
- Keep lines of communication open with stakeholders.
- Escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to project timeline, budget, and objectives.
- Assign and oversee the execution of test cases.
- Provide coaching to team members.
- Create test plans.
- Develop strategies.
- Provide estimates.
- Troubleshoot problems.
- Provide technical training to less experienced employees.
- Maintain test system configurations.
- Execute test scripts using test tools.
- Exercise judgement and autonomy in analyzing and resolving complex problems during test execution.
- Proactively address problems within the scope of responsibility.
- Identify areas for possible improvements.
Requirements
- Demonstrate about 5 years of experience in software development testing, automation, and software process improvement.
- Experience writing and executing SQL queries.
- Understanding of DB queries, SQL, and Databricks on Azure from medium to complex level.
- Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s).
- May be asked to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests.
- Will use artificial intelligence tools during the recruitment process.
