About the Role
Nurse Technicians at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist are invaluable care providers who serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. They improve the patient experience by performing select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and demonstrating teamwork.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program, with documentation of completion.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Must be able to lift, move, and position patients of all weights with varying amounts of support.
- Must have dexterity of fingers, hands, arms and feet.
- Must have sensory requirements of speech, touch, vision and hearing to normal range with corrections.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
