About the Role
Assist Ambulance is a New York City EMS agency with a 30-year history of providing emergency medical and transportation services. We offer a full range of BLS and ALS services throughout the five boroughs, serving various healthcare facilities and community organizations.
Responsibilities
- Work with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
- Review claims for accuracy and assist with follow-up.
- Check insurance eligibility using online portals and boards.
Requirements
- Must be available Monday-Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills.
- Insurance or billing experience is a plus (training provided).
- Must be responsible and dependable.
- Must be comfortable using computers and websites.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical - collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data.
- Easy-going, professional, and personable with strong customer service skills in high-stress situations.
