About the Role

Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
- Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner
- Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces, storage containers and cooking equiptment
Requirements
- Great teamwork skills and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Prior kitchen experience a big plus.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
- Must have compassion for and a desire to work with the older adult population.
- Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity and friendliness towards all prospects, residents, visitors, team members and the overall community.
