About the Role
This internship offers hands-on experience in community planning, brownfield redevelopment, and downtown revitalization projects. You will work directly with a multidisciplinary team on meaningful projects that shape communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct background research, data collection, and demographic analysis
- Assist with GIS mapping and spatial analysis
- Support public engagement efforts, including meeting preparation, materials, and summaries
- Contribute to plan writing, graphics, and presentation materials
- Assist with grant writing
- Participate in project team meetings and client discussions
- Conduct site visits and document existing conditions
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or a related field
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience with GIS (ArcGIS preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
