About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Superintendent to join our team, responsible for overseeing field staff and ensuring projects are built according to plans and specifications. This role involves supervising work, managing materials and staff, handling project correspondence, monitoring progress, and coordinating subcontractor activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise work of carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications.
- Manage material, tools/equipment, information, and staff requirements on the jobsite.
- Handle all correspondence and forms required by the rand* office, including daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports.
- Monitor work being performed and direct subcontractors.
- Schedule all work according to project schedule requirements.
- Effectively utilize management skills in directing supervision of subcontractors.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities within the scope of their duties.
- Periodically audit jobsites during site walks to ensure standards are being met.
- Assist teams with complex and specialty quality control issues.
- Assist teams with pre-punch walks to identify quality trends and ensure smooth/timely punch list process.
- Train and coach Superintendents at all levels to meet rand*'s high standards of administration and organization.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Must have 15 years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail or building renovation projects.
- Display exemplary performance in all project safety related categories.
- Proven track record of independent judgment and decision-making.
- Ability to anticipate and be proactive.
- Ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with individuals at all levels.
- Able to troubleshoot and solve highly complex project-related issues with all levels of team members.
- Ability to manage deadlines, deliver as needed.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with a strong attention to detail.
