About the Role
The RN - Cancer Clinic Nurse plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care for patients. This role participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing personnel and other patient team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The RN assures all nursing services and patient electronic medical records successfully meet QOPI, JCAHO, ONS Chemotherapy Administration Safety Standards, and ACoS compliance/certification, while increasing survivor ability and lessening the burden of cancer.
Responsibilities
- Plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care for patients.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing personnel and other patient team members.
- Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Louisiana.
- CPR required.
Skills
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Minimum knowledge of two years' experience in nursing preferred.
