About the Role
The Welcome Coordinator at Oak Street Health creates an inclusive environment and makes a positive first and last impression on patients. This role is the face of the clinic, ensuring efficient center operations through various administrative tasks that support the broader teams in delivering an unmatched patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and guests
- Conducting visit check-in and assisting patients with required forms
- Collecting co-pays
- Updating patient information and making changes in electronic medical record platform
- Scheduling/rescheduling appointments within electronic medical records platform
- Managing phone lines by answering, taking messages, and conducting outbound calls as instructed
- Managing faxes in the electronic fax platform
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the Welcome and Community Room areas
- Floating to other centers in the region on an infrequent basis
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong computer skills required
- Basic knowledge of Google Suite
- Professional phone etiquette
- Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve (where necessary)
- US work authorization
- Experience in a customer service setting strongly preferred
- Some college preferred
