About the Role

The Vice President, Capital Markets manages QTS’ financing and capital markets activities, plays an integral role in developing long-term financial strategy, and manages near- and long-term liquidity forecasting. This role will also contribute to strategic projects including M&A, long-term forecasting, competitive research, and valuation analysis. You will report to the EVP of Finance and work as a key member of a small, tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment supporting QTS’ accelerating growth profile. You will have regular interaction and exposure to the broader executive leadership team as well as members of Blackstone, QTS’ majority owner. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to financial reporting and presentations to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution and administration of complex financial transactions, including collaboration with banking partners, coordination among internal departments, Blackstone and other transaction participants, evaluation of key financing terms, and ongoing administration.
Independently develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making including liquidity and interest forecasting, sensitivity analysis and capital allocation.
Prepare and present materials and analysis to internal leaders and Blackstone partners in support of overall financial strategy.
Serve as subject matter expert in QTS’ capital structure and financing terms and independently manage ongoing administration and compliance.
Contribute to ongoing strategic initiatives including M&A and global expansion.
Contribute to preparation and presentation of Board materials, ongoing reporting dashboards and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
Ten or more years work experience in investment banking or financial equity research program or similar role in financial planning and analysis or real estate capital markets.

Skills

Strong work ethic, self-motivated, resourceful and capable of effective independent judgement.
Ability to organize, interpret, and draw appropriate conclusions from large volumes of data and to creatively present the information in a manner that enables non-financial managers to easily digest the information.
Enthusiastic attitude in a team environment and ability to work independently.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Advanced writing and communication abilities.
Experience providing financial and analytical support to a capital-intensive business.
