About the Role

The Executive Group Account Director (EGAD) is a senior agency and client leader responsible for the strategic, creative, and commercial success of a significant client relationship, portfolio of businesses, or highly complex global account. The EGAD operates with broader enterprise influence, connecting client business priorities with the full breadth of Droga5 and Accenture Song capabilities to unlock transformational creative and business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior executive clients, understanding their most important business, brand and organizational priorities and translating them into opportunities for creative and business impact.
  • Build durable relationships beyond day-to-day client stakeholders, establishing Droga5 as a strategic business partner rather than solely an agency partner.
  • Shape senior client agendas, proactively bringing perspectives, opportunities and solutions that address the client's longer-term business ambitions.
  • Navigate complex client organizations and stakeholder environments with authority, diplomacy and sound judgment, particularly during moments of transformation, ambiguity or challenge.
  • Represent the agency at the highest levels of client engagement and mobilize agency and Accenture leadership when their involvement can accelerate an opportunity or strengthen a relationship.
  • Own the long-term vision, strategy and trajectory for a major client relationship or portfolio, balancing creative ambition, client impact, commercial performance and organizational health.
  • Maintain executive-level oversight across multiple businesses, workstreams, markets or geographies while empowering GADs and other senior leaders to own day-to-day business leadership.
  • Anticipate shifts in the client's category, business and operating environment and translate those shifts into implications and opportunities for the agency.
  • Create clarity across complex organizations by aligning senior agency and client stakeholders around a shared vision, priorities and measures of success.
  • Know when to engage deeply in critical business issues and when to empower leaders on the team to make decisions and lead independently.
  • Own the growth strategy and commercial health of the portfolio, identifying and converting organic growth opportunities while protecting the quality and value of the agency's work.
  • Establish a multi-year growth agenda that expands Droga5's influence and creates new opportunities across capabilities, markets and senior client relationships.
  • Connect clients to the broader capabilities of Accenture Song and Accenture where those capabilities can unlock meaningful client value and strengthen the relationship.
  • Lead senior-level commercial conversations, including significant scope, fee, contract and investment negotiations.
  • Take accountability for portfolio revenue, profitability, resource strategy and financial health, partnering with agency leadership to proactively address risk and opportunity.
  • Play a leadership role in strategically important new-business opportunities, including shaping positioning, senior client engagement and pitch strategy.
  • Champion Droga5's creative ambition at the executive level and create the conditions necessary for teams to produce category-defining, culturally influential and commercially impactful work.
  • Challenge both clients and agency teams to pursue ideas with the potential to meaningfully transform brands and businesses.
  • Partner closely with senior Creative, Strategy, Production and other discipline leaders to ensure the agency's highest standards of thinking and execution are consistently delivered.
  • Protect the conditions required for breakthrough work while navigating the realities of complex client organizations, budgets and business priorities.
  • Ensure the agency is solving the client's most consequential problems rather than simply responding to assignments.
  • Act as a senior leader of the Account Management discipline and a visible leader within Droga5, contributing perspective beyond the needs of their immediate portfolio.
  • Build, coach and develop senior Account Management talent, particularly GADs and emerging leaders, creating meaningful opportunities for them to expand their leadership and operate with increasing autonomy.
  • Design leadership structures and succession strategies that enable businesses to scale without becoming dependent on the EGAD's day-to-day involvement.
  • Build high-performing, multidisciplinary leadership teams and create an environment characterized by clarity, accountability, trust and creative ambition.
  • Partner with agency leadership on talent, organizational and business priorities that strengthen the agency as a whole.
  • Model Droga5's culture and leadership expectations and actively shape how the agency works, collaborates and leads.
  • Contribute to the agency's external reputation through senior client engagement, industry participation, thought leadership and the quality and influence of the work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years of client leadership, account management or comparable business leadership experience, including significant experience leading complex, integrated client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience managing senior executive and C-suite relationships.
  • Demonstrated accountability for significant revenue, commercial negotiations and business growth.
  • Experience leading senior multidisciplinary teams and developing senior talent.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Significant experience within a creative, advertising, brand, experience or integrated agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and transform complex client relationships.
  • Experience operating across multiple capabilities, markets, businesses or geographies.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with complex scopes, pricing models, resource planning and profitability management.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex organizations.
  • Experience developing senior leaders and building sustainable succession plans.
  • Ability to connect creative excellence to measurable client business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft business tools.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
  • Candidates who are currently employed by a client of Accenture or an affiliated Accenture business may not be eligible for consideration.
  • Job candidates will not be obligated to disclose sealed or expunged records of conviction or arrest as part of the hiring process.
  • At Accenture a criminal conviction history is not an absolute bar to employment.
  • The Company will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
  • Additionally, employees who have access to the compensation information of other employees or applicants as a part of their essential job functions cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to individuals who do not otherwise have access to compensation information, unless the disclosure is (a) in response to a formal complaint or charge, (b) in furtherance of an investigation, proceeding, hearing, or action, including an investigation conducted by the employer, or (c) consistent with the Company's legal duty to furnish information.
