About the Role
This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorized access credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and problem-solve, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and access-related observations accurately in required logs and reports.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
