About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government operations location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, vehicle areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity at assigned posts.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
