About the Role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible and dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with Allied Universal. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and contractors, and documenting entry and exit activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and following reporting protocols.
Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, communicating relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
