About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Communicate professionally with visitors and staff, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government housing services location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications records in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
