About the Role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible and dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and following established reporting procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
