About the Role
This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle entry documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities through required reports and logs.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
