About the Role
This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
- Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and vendor records.
- Monitor lobby activity, building access points, cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related systems, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Maintain a professional front-desk presence, answer phones, provide directions, and communicate relevant information to building management and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
