About the Role
Doyle Security Services (DSS) is seeking a dependable, observant, and safety-conscious Safety Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and clients. The successful candidate will monitor the premises, identify potential safety hazards, enforce established safety procedures, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and patrols to identify potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Monitor assigned areas to ensure compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
- Identify, report, and document accidents, incidents, hazards, and safety violations.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services, management, and other designated personnel as necessary.
- Assist with emergency evacuation procedures, drills, and other safety-related activities.
- Maintain accurate incident reports, inspection records, and daily activity logs.
- Ensure that emergency exits, fire extinguishers, alarm systems, and other safety equipment remain accessible and unobstructed.
- Communicate safety concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor or client representative.
- Promote awareness of workplace safety practices and encourage compliance with applicable procedures.
- Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Security Guard License
- Must have valid drivers license
- 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required
- Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form
- Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position
