About the Role
Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all customers. Responsible for the nighttime operation of the store, overseeing clerks, ensuring shelves are stocked and leveled, and managing product inventory to optimize sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
- Ensure proper handling and merchandising of all products according to company policy.
- Display complete knowledge of all products to customers.
- Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon request fulfillment.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
- Oversee the entire Third Shift store operation.
- Ensure proper shelf conditions, stock levels, product leveling and blocking, and out-of-stock sign placement.
- Schedule all Night Crew Associates.
- Manage Front End and Office operations, including check approvals and nightly resets.
- Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies for the Grocery Department, meeting transmission times, and storing excess product.
- Ensure proper merchandising standards are maintained, including shelf allocation and sale items.
- Store excess product in the Back Room according to corporate guidelines.
- Assist with hiring, training, and development of new Night Crew Associates in grocery operations.
- Manage discipline or recommend discipline for Night Crew Associates according to company policy.
- Oversee refrigeration and security procedures during third shift, and all weekly and nightly resets.
- Unload warehouse and DSD merchandise deliveries.
- Evaluate the performance and progress of Store Associates.
- Ensure all productivity measures of the 3rd Shift Grocery Crew are met and tasks are accomplished.
- Implement and maintain all corporate and state sanitation and pricing procedures.
- Protect company inventory and assets.
- Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
