About the Role

AMD is hiring a Sr. Product Development Engineer to develop and test electrical/electronic components and systems for semiconductor products. This role involves supporting bring-up and testing for GPU and CPU products, designing and debugging software for hardware, and optimizing test efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products.
Support bring-up and testing for multiple GPU and CPU products.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new hardware products.
Develop, debug, bring-up, and tune performance of new hardware running on operating systems, utilizing programming and development principles.
Determine hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design.
Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life.
Optimize test efficiency by removing redundant/legacy modules and contribute to infrastructure upgrades, including building new tools and streamlining development workflows.
Improve build and deployment systems.
Under supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD systems and products.

Requirements

One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering or systems administrator/developer role.
Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
