About the Role
AMD is seeking an MTS IT Engineer to perform core SAP Basis administrator functions, including certificate management, software installation, upgrades, performance monitoring, and capacity management. The role involves collaborating with service providers and IT teams, developing security procedures, and implementing security technology like firewalls. Responsibilities also include monitoring system performance, designing security controls, responding to security breaches, and performing forensic investigations. The position requires knowledge of enterprise applications such as SAP, E2Open, and AgilePLM, cloud technologies like SAP BTP, and AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform core SAP Basis administrator functions including certificate management, software installation and setup, upgrades and patches, performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity management.
- Perform change control, incident response, and testing processes for infrastructure changes or changes related to SAP Systems.
- Collaborate with service providers and other IT functions including Infrastructure, Networking, and SecOps teams.
- Develop the implementation of information security procedures and policies.
- Build, maintain, and upgrade security technology, such as firewalls, for the safe use of computer networks and the transmission and retrieval of information.
- Monitor, analyze, and identify trends for system performance and resource utilization.
- Design and implement appropriate security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect digital files and electronic infrastructures.
- Monitor and respond to computer security breaches, viruses, and intrusions, and perform forensic investigation.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
- Coordinate documentation of computer security or emergency measure policies, procedures, or tests.
- Coordinate monitoring of networks or systems for security breaches or intrusions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
