About the Role
AMD is seeking an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves overseeing ASIC development, defining architecture and logic design, and evaluating the entire process flow from high-level designs to synthesis and timing analysis. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and drive projects of significant technical importance, utilizing your expertise in engineering principles and technologies to contribute to AMD products.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing.
- Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design and address complex issues.
- Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
- Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics to resolve complex issues.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of AMD products.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
