About the Role
As our design engineer, you’ll work across every team to own the component library and design tokens, taking features from rough idea to shipped interface. You will make the design mock, build it, and iterate based on user feedback. The goal is to ensure every screen is correct, current, and clearly conveys the user's intent, all while maintaining a calm user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design flows and interfaces in Figma, then build them in React.
- Own the component library and design tokens, ensuring consistency between Figma and code.
- Create calm and intuitive user experiences, especially for sensitive tasks like will planning.
- Maintain high standards for accessibility across all user interfaces.
- Prototype rapidly to facilitate quick feedback from Product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- A portfolio showcasing both design and code work.
- Strong proficiency in Figma/Paper, including components, variables, and auto layout.
- Experience with production React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated taste in design and the ability to communicate design decisions effectively to engineers.
- Ability to handle sensitive and regulated data with care.
- Willingness to iterate and improve designs based on user feedback and team input.
