About the Role
UNIQLO is seeking an experienced PR Specialist to join their UK PR team in London. This role involves building relationships with media and stakeholders to lead storytelling and deliver impactful campaigns, bringing UNIQLO's LifeWear philosophy, innovation, and sustainability commitments to life.
Responsibilities
- Develop proactive UK stories highlighting LifeWear through product, design, innovation, functionality, and craftsmanship.
- Lead sustainability PR storytelling in collaboration with the sustainability team, focusing on initiatives like Heart of LifeWear, RE.UNIQLO STUDIO, and circularity.
- Create engaging PR activations for key initiatives such as Repair Day, Care for Cashmere, and LifeWear Week.
- Support the UK communications strategy for Global Spokespeople, Ambassadors, and collaborators, identifying media, event, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Assist with proactive and reactive corporate storytelling concerning UNIQLO's growth, innovation, people, community, and sustainability.
- Cultivate strong relationships with national, sustainability, business, broadcast, arts, and culture media.
- Support broader UK PR priorities including campaigns, store openings, collaborations, arts and culture, sport, events, and talent.
- Collaborate with UK, European, and global teams to execute integrated communications.
Requirements
- Approximately 6+ years of experience in PR, communications, media, or corporate affairs, gained in-house, agency-side, or both.
- Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and established media relationships.
- Experience and understanding of sustainability and corporate communications.
- Proven ability to develop proactive stories, campaigns, and communications strategies.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills with strong communications judgment.
- Experience delivering events, activations, or campaign moments.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and spokespeople.
- Strong project management skills combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- Ability to travel regularly within the UK (monthly) and internationally a few times a year.
