About the Role
IONOS Cloud is seeking an experienced Senior Project Lead to manage complex, cross-functional IT projects in strategic cloud infrastructure, information security, and application modernization. The role focuses on leadership, alignment, and delivery, working closely with various technical and business teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of planning, managing, and delivering complex projects.
- Secure commitment and clear accountability from all stakeholders.
- Provide clear direction and structure in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.
- Align cross-functional teams based on shared project objectives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships at all seniority levels.
- Address objections constructively and develop viable solutions.
- Prepare concise, decision-ready documents and status reports for senior management.
- Ensure complete, current, and accurate project documentation.
- Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of project management methods.
- Ensure a structured handover of project results to operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management.
- Practical experience leading complex, cross-functional projects, ideally in the IT sector or software development.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (preferably Jira and Confluence).
- Knowledge of PRINCE2 or comparable project management frameworks, or a relevant certification, is an advantage.
- A strong hands-on approach, personal ownership of day-to-day delivery, and a consistent focus on results.
- Ability to create clarity and structure when requirements are incomplete or priorities change.
- Ability to unite cross-functional teams behind a common objective.
- Consistent focus on developing and proposing options rather than escalating problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Business proficient German skills (B2) are mandatory.
- Proven ability to lead without formal authority.
- Composure and confidence when stakeholders challenge priorities or decisions.
- Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to realize efficiencies in managing projects and ensuring documentation quality.
