About the Role

GE Vernova is accelerating the path to more reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. As a senior leader within Software & Controls Solutions (SCS), you will own the technology foundation that underpins the organization's product portfolio — leading the software engineering, UX, and platform capabilities that enable SCS to build, deliver, and scale world-class digital products. You will set the technical direction across engineering execution, user experience, platform reliability, and security — while building an organization designed to grow as SCS's portfolio and ambitions expand.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive capacity strategy to significantly increase engineering output.
  • Define and execute the technology strategy for SCS, setting the technical direction across software engineering, platform architecture, user experience, and emerging technology adoption.
  • Own software engineering execution and platform health, driving release predictability, SaaS availability, defect reduction, and security compliance.
  • Lead the UX function through its evolution into a mature, research-driven discipline.
  • Drive the adoption of AI and emerging technologies across the engineering and UX organizations.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, quality frameworks, and security practices across the organization.
  • Partner with Product Management, Commercial, and Services leadership to align technology investments with business priorities.
  • Build and scale a high-performing technology organization, attracting, developing, and retaining top engineering and UX talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in software engineering or technology leadership.
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing multi-disciplinary technical teams.
