About the Role
We are Modern Market - a farm fresh eatery that serves awesome food in a fast paced, open kitchen setting. We love food and we love providing an excellent guest experience to each person that walks through our door.
Responsibilities
- Complete all tasks on the prep list from the manager on duty
- Label and stock all ingredients, including lifting up to 80 lb for truck orders
- Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats using knife skills
- Measure quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients according to recipes
- Clean dishes, wash cooking utensils and cookware, take out trash, and sanitize the kitchen
- Adhere to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
- Track ingredient inventory and collaborate with staff to minimize, prevent, and log waste
- Maintain a safe and clean environment and adhere to all food safety standards

- Must be food certified by an accredited institution
