About the Role
Seeking a Lead Java Architect with extensive experience to join a New York State government agency.
Responsibilities
- Act in an advisory role to IT management in Web application architecture, software evaluation, required application components upgrades, POC, and mentoring developers.
- Define unit and system testing standards, and monitor, benchmark, and evaluate results.
- Analyze business processes and workflows, and work with non-technical staff to develop system specifications and resolve problems.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and give group presentations.
Requirements
- 18+ years of overall IT experience.
- 18+ years of experience with Java/J2EE technologies.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Lead Java Architect.
- 7 years of experience building complex, enterprise-level Java web applications, including all phases of the system development lifecycle.
- 7 years of experience performing release management for n-tier JEE web applications.
- 7 years of experience in EJB development and transaction management programming in a complex, large-scale environment involving integration of J2EE applications with legacy mainframe environments.
- 7 years of experience working with or developing single sign-on solutions for JEE applications (preferably using LDAP and SiteMinder).
- 7 years of experience with the use of web services and IBM MQ in a JEE environment.
- 7 years of experience with XML, JAXB, Struts, Spring, and Hibernate, and working with rules engines and business process management.
- 6+ years of experience acting in an advisory role to IT management in Web application architecture, software evaluation, required application components upgrades, POC, and mentoring developers.
