About the Role
Ward Security is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Loading Bay Officer for a prestigious office development in London. This role is crucial for coordinating deliveries, supporting site logistics, and ensuring safe and efficient loading bay operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the smooth movement of goods to and from the site.
- Ensure deliveries are coordinated effectively.
- Maintain safe, organised, and secure logistics areas.
- Manage and coordinate deliveries to and from the site efficiently and in line with schedules.
- Monitor access to loading bay and logistics areas, ensuring site procedures are followed.
- Act as a key point of contact for tenants, delivery drivers, and contractors, responding to enquiries professionally.
- Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately, maintain daily logs, and keep records up to date.
- Monitor delivery schedules, report delays or issues to the supervisor or Site Manager, and communicate potential logistical challenges to minimise disruption.
- Identify and report hazards or incidents promptly, helping maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep logistics areas clean, tidy, and organised, ensuring they are used in accordance with site rules.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the company.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Loading Bay or logistics environment.
- Experience coordinating deliveries and managing site logistics.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to maintain accurate records and complete documentation correctly.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving logistical issues.
- An understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy environment while managing competing priorities.
