About the Role

Operate mixing and packaging equipment, perform quality inspections, and contribute to production reporting and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate mixing and packaging equipment safely and productively.
Perform quality inspection of product.
Input data for production reporting.
Adjust HMI for bagging machines.
Perform product changeovers, including bag film, chemicals, pallets, and slip sheets.
Communicate with Supervisor on safety, quality, and production issues.
Comply with occupational safety regulations, including LO/TO.
Use correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain good housekeeping on the production floor.
Report spills or hazards to the Supervisor.
Report safety issues to the Supervisor.
Maintain chemical hopper levels.
Troubleshoot equipment to maintain operational status.
Perform tasks related to machine cleaning and minor preventative maintenance repairs.
Operate a forklift safely for storing finished goods and retrieving raw materials.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience as a machine operator in an industrial environment preferred.
Computer competency.
Mechanical aptitude.
Above average math skills.
Familiar with operation of automated production equipment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and utilize material handling equipment.
Forklift experience with a safe driving record required.
Team player, works well with others.
