About the Role

FM's Sustainability team is seeking a Sr. Sustainability Consultant to provide subject matter expertise on Sustainability matters. This role supports the implementation of FM’s Sustainability Approach with a focus on regulatory reporting, disclosures, client and broker partner relationships, strategic communications, and internal stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-driven, results-oriented individual eager to drive sustainability throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Support the sustainability reporting and disclosures process for the company.
Develop enterprise-wide sustainability reports by interfacing with senior leadership and business units to assess and improve data capabilities and procedures.
Monitor global sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., SASB/IFRS, CSRD) and emerging regulatory disclosure requirements.
Partner with internal departments to ensure data, reporting, and disclosures adhere to company policies and legal/financial requirements.
Support the execution of the Sustainability team’s strategic communication plan for internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare communications and deliver high-quality presentations to senior leadership, peers, and clients.
Partner with internal business partners to provide ongoing education on FM’s sustainability priorities.
Serve as a representative and practice ambassador for FM’s sustainability capabilities to clients and prospects.
Engage with FM leaders, clients, brokers, and client service partners as a subject matter expert on global sustainability issues.
Partner with client service teams to help clients understand and utilize FM’s climate data.
Represent FM externally through client meetings, broker discussions, advisory boards, conferences, and industry forums.
Attend client events and forums as needed.
Serve as project manager for key initiatives within the sustainability team and FM Solutions group.
Ensure project delivery by managing vendor relationships and deliverables.
Support initiatives and programs run by the Global Manager of Sustainability.
Maintain strong partnerships with EMEA offices, focusing on client service teams.
Support the planning and coordination of cross-functional meetings with global stakeholders.
Respond to requests from EMEA leadership and other key partners for Sustainability-driven presentation materials or talking points.

Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years relatable experience as a sustainability/ESG professional.
Multi-lingual capabilities with fluency in English language and at least one other European language.
Broad Sustainability/ESG knowledge and ability to engage with leaders across many different industries on related topics.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally for key meetings and client engagements.
Experience collaborating with global teams.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in the insurance industry is desirable but not essential.
Excellent written and oral communications skills with experience creating content for all organizational levels.
Excellent design and copywriting skills, proficiency in Adobe InDesign software.
Excellent creative presentation design, PowerPoint skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to exercise strong communication skills to foster excellent relationships with team members and peers.
Experience driving large enterprise-level programs requiring extensive change management.
Prosci Change Management Certification or other formal Change Management Certification would be advantageous.
Proactive problem-solving mindset with ability to clearly identify and implement solutions.
Ability to think strategically, exercise independent judgment, take initiative, prioritize, accurately complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines and changing priorities to drive results.
Proficient in standard documentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and adaptable to new tools.
Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
Experience with, and comfort in, presenting to C-suite leaders.
