About the Role
The Carlyle Group seeks an Intern within the Carlyle Europe Technology Partners team in London. This 6-month internship offers the opportunity to become a key member of the investment team, working directly with investment professionals on deal origination, execution, and portfolio management. The intern will support CETP’s investment activities in the Benelux region.
Responsibilities
- Execute deal sourcing, company research, and pipeline building for the Benelux.
- Conduct primary research, execute financial analyses, and contribute to due diligence across various areas.
- Prepare and support the drafting of investment memos and financial models.
- Assist in overseeing portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong academic record from a leading educational institution to Masters or Bachelor's/Masters (2:1 minimum grade or equivalent for UK graduates).
- Previous internship experience in investment banking, private equity, or a similar environment.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in Dutch or Flemish is required.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent analytical capabilities.
- High intellectual curiosity to understand company fundamentals, industries, and investment opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive spirit with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
- Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to build effective relationships.
- Team player focused on team success and willing to contribute in any role.
