About the Role

This role is for an Associate in the Investment Banking EMEA M&A Diversified Industries team, playing a vital role in maintaining strategic client dialog and executing M&A transactions. The team focuses on public and private M&A transactions for corporate and financial sponsor clients within the broad industrial sector across EMEA.

Responsibilities

Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A transactions.
Interact with senior team members and client management teams daily to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives.
Lead process coordination on mandated transactions.
Define, guide, and review detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analyses.
Define, guide, and review detailed combination and other financial analyses in the context of M&A transactions or pitch situations.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to analysts.

Requirements

Proven investment banking experience with emphasis on live executions.
Outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgment.
Proficient financial modelling/valuation and analytical skills.
Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
Subject to meeting regulatory requirements for fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence, and potential approval by regulatory authorities.
