About the Role
We are looking for a Project Accountant to join our Finance team and support the delivery of our projects. This role involves partnering closely with producers, project teams, and Finance colleagues to ensure projects are financially accurate, well managed, and up to date. It's a varied role combining project accounting, billing, reconciliations, and revenue reporting with interaction across the wider business.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day financial and administrative support to project teams.
- Produce financial analysis, project reconciliations, billing updates, and accurate revenue reporting.
- Reconcile project information between Dynamics 365 and Procim, investigating and resolving differences.
- Ensure projects are complete, accurate, and up to date in Procim.
- Raise accurate and timely sales invoices in Dynamics 365.
- Confirm billing requirements with project teams and ensure prompt and accurate billing.
- Maintain accurate project and contract information in Dynamics 365 and Procim.
- Ensure appropriate supporting evidence is maintained for revenue reporting.
- Apply revenue recognition methods, including reviewing project status, costs, billing, and supporting documentation.
- Respond to queries from the wider Finance team in a timely manner.
- Assist the Project Accounting Manager and other Finance team members with ad hoc projects and activities.
Requirements
- Organized and comfortable working with detail.
- Enjoys building relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Experience of billing, reconciliations, and basic revenue recognition within a project-based environment.
- Confident communicating with non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to take ownership of project queries and follow-up actions.
- Experience using finance and project systems.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
