About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will support individuals in reaching their personal goals, making choices, and living as independently as possible. You will assist with daily activities, promote community involvement, and ensure a safe, healthy, and clean environment.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in daily living skills including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation.
- Encourage participation in hobbies, social activities, and community events.
- Follow care plans that respect each person’s choices, strengths, and needs.
- Ensure safety, health, and dignity in every interaction.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license that meets agency policy.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position including standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
