About the Role
The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures appropriate controls are implemented by suppliers on purchased products throughout procurement, manufacturing, and packing.
Responsibilities
- Support quality clarifications with suppliers during the tender phase.
- Train suppliers on Arabelle Solutions' tools and processes.
- Prepare and participate in kick-off and pre-inspection meetings with suppliers, Arabelle Solutions representatives, and clients.
- Review and approve documentation under the responsibility of the supplier quality department.
- Actively participate in Daily Management meetings to ensure precise governance of expected deliverables and to escalate any difficulties encountered.
- Coordinate and keep the inspection follow-up (Inspection & Test Time Schedule ITTS) up to date.
- Perform inspections at suppliers' premises, with a minimum of 30% of inspections carried out by the supplier quality engineer.
- Issue inspection reports.
- Subcontract inspections if necessary.
- Analyze and validate inspection reports, ensuring their internal distribution.
- Lead or support the resolution of NCRs and ensure their closure.
- Conduct root cause analyses of non-conformities and develop supplier improvement plans.
- Perform field visits to suppliers (Gemba walk) during the preparation or execution of manufacturing operations.
- Implement counter-expertise related to special processes.
- Review and approve End of Manufacturing Reports (EOMR).
- Guarantee product conformity to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Authorize shipment when all quality criteria are met.
Requirements
- Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or project quality.
- Background in audits, inspections, or nonconformity management.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a project environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with suppliers.
- Fluent in English.
