About the Role
Lead the Financial Experience (FinXP) team at Nelly, responsible for how practices and patients manage financial transactions. This team's work directly impacts Nelly's and its practices' revenue by improving the financial journey from treatment decision to payment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing team of 3-6 software engineers.
- Own hiring for your team, building a team of high-performing engineers.
- Collaborate closely with the product manager to build, launch, and iteratively improve the financial journey.
- Own the quality, reliability, and security of your team's products, delivering highly available production systems.
- Partner with the Financial Platform team to shape infrastructure.
- Partner with Nelly's internal teams who use the Backoffice.
- Keep your team at the cutting edge of LLM- and AI-based engineering.
- Stay hands-on, developing alongside your team.
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Nelly's engineering leadership team.
Requirements
- 3+ years as an Engineering Manager.
- 8+ years of overall experience in software development.
- Strong technical background designing, building, and owning customer-facing full-stack web applications and their back-end systems.
- Track record of iterating very quickly: defining small scopes, running A/B tests, measuring impact, and using results to decide next steps.
- Experience with cloud-native development.
- Deep understanding of software engineering processes and team management.
- Empathy and excellent communication skills with product, design, and non-technical users.
