About the Role
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our finance team in our London HQ. This role will focus on profitability amid rising food prices, requiring a curious, inquisitive mindset and a can-do attitude towards ad-hoc tasks and direct reporting to business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own margin analysis and reporting, automating the process where possible.
- Collaborate with the Recipe team to maximize recipe profitability and support pricing decisions.
- Partner with the Buying team to assess future prices and identify margin savings.
- Build relationships with the operations warehouse to understand fulfillment costs, identify variances, trends, and opportunities.
- Work with the Accounts Payable team to ensure accuracy and correct presentation of monthly figures.
- Assist with month-end reporting and general variance analysis.
- Support forecasting and budgeting processes.
Requirements
- Genuinely curious to understand key business metrics.
- Proactive in analyzing details and providing insights to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, confident interacting with operational and financial employees.
- Efficient, hardworking, with a flexible, hands-on, problem-solving approach.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is preferable.
- Proficient in spreadsheets and data modeling.
- Interest in food.
