About the Role
Turner & Townsend is a leading consultancy provider to the Infrastructure sector, seeking talented Estimating Project Directors with major programmes experience, preferably in the Aviation sector, to support ambitious growth plans in the South East region. The role involves leading the production of accurate estimates and cost plans, promoting estimating best practices, and contributing to regional and departmental strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Leading or managing the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes
- Playing a leading role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend
- Playing a leading role in the South East region helping to achieve regional strategic goals
- Playing a leading role in the achievement of departmental objectives
- Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise
- Providing direction to staff working for you and with you on specific tasks
- Responsibility for the development of junior members of the estimating team
- Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
- Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients
- Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities

Requirements
- Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
- Previous experience of working with estimating software packages
- Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects
- Experience of working in the Infrastructure sector
