About the Role
The role of a digital lead is to project manage a team delivering all aspects of digital services delivery on a client project or programme, from mobilization through to live operation. This role requires a blend of IT and digital solutions experience, effective project delivery, and problem-solving skills to ensure functional and efficient digital technologies for project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Directing a team to manage all aspects of digital solution delivery and operation on client-facing projects.
- Assessing and benchmarking client’s digital maturity and creating an action plan.
- Utilizing Mace's project delivery methodology, standards, and templates.
- Gathering requirements from clients, project colleagues, and business users.
- Developing the digital strategy, data and system architecture, and managing the delivery team.
- Working with colleagues and peers as part of a development and support team.
- Settling solutions on to stable-state operations with reach-back support.
- Liaising with partner IT functions, other stakeholder IT functions, clients, and supply chain partners.
- Defining the digital team structure, recruiting, managing, and developing team members.
- Engaging seamlessly with other teams within the client project eco-system.
- Defining and setting up governance models.
- Developing and maintaining business and technical knowledge and networks.
- Managing all aspects of digital solution delivery and operation on client-facing projects.
Requirements
- Proven digital leadership experience on major construction projects or programmes.
- Experience working within complex joint venture environments.
- Strong technology, software implementation, and supplier management expertise.
- IT project management, budgeting, and business case development capability.
- Strong stakeholder, people, and matrix management skills.
- Knowledge of information security, data protection, and risk.
