Responsibilities
- Drive team goals and technical direction for organizational efficiency.
- Communicate complex features and systems effectively.
- Assess and develop new technologies by understanding industry and company-wide trends.
- Collaborate with organization leaders to improve engineering quality and delivery outcomes.
- Identify new opportunities for the organization and influence staffing/prioritization.
- Lead long-term technical vision and roadmap for cross-company efforts.
- Synthesize requirements and create an effective feature roadmap.
- Address performance and scalability issues, and reduce technical debt.
Requirements
- Experience driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders through technical strategy proposals and cross-organizational roadmap alignment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
- Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps where short-term projects align with the long-term mission.
- 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language OR 8+ years of programming experience in a relevant language with a PhD.
- Experience using data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide solutions.
Skills
- AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration)
- Integrating AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows
- Responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Building maintainable and testable code bases
- API design
- Unit testing techniques
- Building Android applications in Java using Android SDK
- Multithreading programming
- Mobile memory management
