About the Role
BDO's Risk Advisory team consults to publicly listed and government organisations across various industries, with this role specialising in NSW public sector clients. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio, including clients across education, transport and integrity agencies, while also having exposure to other sectors and clients across the team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver internal audits, business risk assurance, and business process improvement projects.
- Recommend policy, procedural, process, system, and control improvements.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal writing.
- Prepare scoping documents, project reports, and assist in developing new methodologies.
- Collaborate with Partners and Senior Managers on work scheduling.
- Contribute to the development of junior staff through mentoring.
- Maintain client relationships and identify future business opportunities.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in Internal Audit or Risk Consulting.
- Analytical, investigative skills, and a logical approach to risk assessment and management.
- Working knowledge of internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO31000).
- Experience in undertaking internal audits, risk assessments, and risk management framework reviews.
- Experience working with public sector clients.
- Experience in internal auditing of financial and operational processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Exposure to Enterprise Resource Management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, TechOne).
