About the Role
As an Events Technology Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of audiovisual (AV) and IT technology solutions for complex in-person and hybrid meetings and events. You'll partner with meeting owners to understand their objectives, recommend effective technology solutions, and deliver reliable, high-quality experiences for presenters and attendees. You will contribute to improving how we deliver event technology services, strengthening operational consistency, technical capabilities, and our ability to support evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end event technology delivery, from initial requirements gathering and technical planning through on-site execution and post-event review.
- Partner with meeting owners to translate event objectives into practical AV/IT solutions that support engaging in-person and hybrid experiences.
- Manage technical readiness and execution, coordinating AV systems, connectivity, equipment, and technical support to ensure a reliable experience for attendees and presenters.
- Coordinate external vendors and venues, aligning technical requirements, resources, responsibilities, and delivery expectations across event partners.
- Anticipate and resolve technical challenges, assessing risks, troubleshooting complex issues, and adapting solutions to maintain event continuity.
- Collaborate across global IT and business teams, bringing together the expertise and resources needed to deliver complex international events.
- Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned, operational insights, and emerging event technologies to strengthen service quality and scalability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex in-person and hybrid events, with strong AV/IT technical expertise.
- Experience managing event technology projects independently, from planning through execution and resolution.
- Working knowledge of event connectivity, wireless networks, VPNs, and technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to coordinate external vendors, technical partners, and resources across multiple concurrent events.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with sound judgment in identifying risks and resolving technical challenges.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills across business teams, IT functions, and external partners.
- Experience improving event technology processes and service quality through feedback, data, and operational insights.
