About the Role
The Software Engineer Expert, AI Security helps deliver secure, scalable AI capabilities across nbn. You’ll design, build and operate reusable AI platform services, security controls and automated engineering patterns, supporting AI agents and enterprise use cases throughout their lifecycle. Working collaboratively across Engineering, Security, Architecture, Cloud and Responsible AI teams, you’ll embed secure development, automated testing, observability and resilience into everyday delivery, while helping improve standards, resolve complex technical challenges and strengthen secure AI engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate reusable AI platform services
- Implement security controls and automated engineering patterns
- Support AI agents and enterprise use cases throughout their lifecycle
- Embed secure development, automated testing, observability and resilience into everyday delivery
- Improve standards, resolve complex technical challenges and strengthen secure AI engineering practices
Requirements
- Hands-on experience across software, cloud, DevSecOps or security engineering
- Strong programming capability
- Experience with AWS or Azure
- Practical exposure to generative AI, LLMs, RAG or agentic systems
- Exposure to security practices such as vulnerability remediation, automated testing and observability
- Full working rights in Australia
