About the Role
Turner & Townsend is recruiting experienced Technical Project Managers to join their Data Centre team in Sydney, supporting the continued success and expansion of their global Data Centre business.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface.
- Develop working relationships, solve problems, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Manage the design process to achieve client requirements and manage expectations.
- Review project plans and specifications, including scheduling, cost-saving measures, and potential construction problems.
- Manage project safety and environmental requirements.
- Manage project timelines, risks, and reporting.
- Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep them on track.
- Engage with marketing and business development initiatives.
- Coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery.
- Draft contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents.
- Utilize strong communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years of project management experience, gained within a Data Centre or similar technical environment.
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from inception through design, approvals, construction completion, and post-project review.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all main project management concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client.
Skills
- Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure – HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security and BMS.
- Strong communication skills.
