About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Partnerships & BD expert to grow our banking, deposits, and investing partners. The role involves managing existing partnerships, increasing budgets, improving economics, and expanding distribution, as well as acquiring new partners, primarily through warm outreach and direct engagement in the investing sector. You will operate with full ownership, both operationally and strategically, across banking, deposits, and investing categories outside of the largest strategic accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Grow existing partners by increasing budgets, improving economics, and expanding distribution.
  • Acquire new partners, primarily through warm outreach and direct engagement in the investing sector.
  • Manage partner operations from onboarding through campaign management, reporting, issue resolution, and optimization.
  • Develop proposals that align partner goals with placements, audiences, and distribution across FinanceBuzz and our publisher network.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, partner updates, and next steps.
  • Represent Launch Potato at industry events and partner meetings.
  • Conduct partner conversations from initial outreach through pitch, deal negotiation, contracting, and launch.
  • Understand each partner's growth goals, economics, products, and target customers.

Requirements

  • Direct experience on the advertiser side of a financial comparison publisher, marketplace, or performance network, managing bank, deposit, or investing partners.
  • A proven record of growing accounts, not just servicing them.
  • Sales DNA with the ability to open doors and close deals, comfortable with both warm relationships and cold outreach.
  • Ownership of details, including URL approvals, budget changes, CPA moves, and placement/widget coordination.
  • Ability to figure things out independently and collaborate with account management, product, media, analytics, compliance, legal, and finance teams.
  • Fluency in performance economics (CPA, CPL, CPC, revenue share) and business acumen to utilize performance, revenue, and unit-economic data in negotiations.
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills to manage multiple partners and opportunities simultaneously.
