About the Role
This part-time role, approximately 10 hours per week, is focused on growing catering and overall sales for two Jersey Mike's Subs locations. The position involves learning shop operations, understanding the menu, and managing catering orders, while also actively seeking new business opportunities through outreach and lead generation.
Responsibilities
- Learn shop operations, including the menu and Jersey Mike's standards.
- Understand catering order processes, from quoting to preparation and handover.
- Manage outreach to college teams and local businesses, including sending personalized emails and logging interactions.
- Maintain updated contact information for teams and businesses.
- Research and identify potential leads, including decision-makers at various organizations.
- Conduct in-person visits to businesses with menus and samples.
- Convert inquiries into catering orders, confirming details and coordinating with store managers.
- Follow up on orders to gather feedback and secure future bookings.
- Organize Community Night fundraisers.
- Draft social media posts for catering and Community Nights.
- Provide weekly reports on outreach activities, meetings, orders, and sales.
Requirements
- Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, events, or business development.
- Clear, friendly writing and phone skills.
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and email.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for local visits.
- Self-motivated with the ability to set and follow through on weekly plans.
- Willingness to learn shop operations.
